Black Swan
Title Sequence
For this title sequence inspired by Black Swan, I explored the tension between softness and intensity that defines the film. The concept centers on contrast, capturing the fluid, controlled grace of ballet alongside an underlying sense of darkness and gore.
The piece combines typography and vector graphics in After Effects with custom-shot footage of ink dispersing in water. The organic movement of the ink mirrors the elegance and flow of dance, while the sharper, more rigid vector elements introduce a sense of unease and structure. Together, these layers build a visual rhythm that reflects the psychological push and pull at the core of the story.
